Rodney Pendell has served as Organist at Fort Johnson since November of 2002. During his ministry here, the organ has been significantly upgraded, and is now able to host world-class organ recitals. In addition to playing for the Sunday morning 11:00 Church Service, Rodney is director of the Descant Choir at Fort Johnson, a group of sopranos who provide a high descant on the final verse of one hymn per Sunday. Rodney is also a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, and is employed by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Funeral Chapel in Charleston. |
