Organist Felix Hell returns to FJBC! E-mail

Organist Felix Hell, the sensational young virtuoso from Germany, will once again share his incredible musical talents with us on September 14, 2008, at 6 PM.  The concert caps an exciting weekend which will highlight and celebrate the wonderful gift of music that makes Fort Johnson such a special place.

Many of you remember Felix's performance of two years ago, which was played before a capacity audience, including many dozens of visitors from around our city, state, even some from as far away as Georgia.  That event, like the evening coming up, will allow Fort Johnson members, their families, friends, and our community at large to share an inspirational evening of sacred music played on the Fort Johnson Organ by one of the most sought after organists in the world today.

Although there is no admission charge, we do ask that everyone please obtain a ticket to ensure ample seating, as well as allowing our staff to plan the reception.  Childcare will be available to Fort Johnson members.

As a special added bonus, Felix has set aside a special time on Saturday morning, September 13, at 10 AM to introduce the organ to young people.  He has made it clear that while he especially invites the young people to come and learn more about this great instrument, this time is open to ALL who love music and want to know more about how the organ is played.

The weekend of September 13 and 14 will be a great time to reflect on God's wonderful gift of music.  It is our hope that everyone at Fort Johnson who appreciates the beauty of great Christian music and worship, will make it to at least one of these services, and then return for the Felix Hell concert that evening.
